President Obama passed historic health care reform, immigration reform, stimulus package and "ended" the Iraq War. He had a lot of power in the past 6-7 years. But he claims he didn't have any power to balance the budget. So the national debt is now over $18 trillion, and it was $10.6 trillion when he was elected. These are by far the biggest debt gains of any president in history.
Bush hasn't been in power since 2008 and the Middle East wars have been over for a few years now. He should not be blamed for any new bad budgets.
Democrat or Republican, whoever is our next president needs to take responsibility for balancing the budget.

Was President Bush Right on Iraq and ISIS?
In 2007, when President Bush said the following, was he correct?
"I know some in Washington would like us to start leaving Iraq now. To begin withdrawing before our commanders tell us we're ready would be dangerous for Iraq, for the region and for the United States. It would mean surrendering the future of Iraq to Al Qaida. It'd mean that we'd be risking mass killings on a horrific scale. It'd mean we'd allow the terrorists to establish a safe haven in Iraq to replace the one they lost in Afghanistan. It'd mean we'd be increasing the probability that American troops would have to return at some later date to confront an enemy that is even more dangerous."
